Following a couple of glimpses, our newest peek at Netflix's Shadow and Bone does exactly what a good trailer should do. Over the course of three minutes, viewers are invited into a mysterious world of magic where the push-and-pull between light and dark appears to play a central role.

The upcoming series is an adaptation of author Leigh Bardugo's fantasy novels, which are set in the Eastern European-inspired kingdom of Ravka.
